About the Role
Tulia ISD is seeking a dedicated Educational Diagnostician to join our team at the Swisher-Briscoe Shared Services Arrangement. This full-time position requires an individual who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and ensuring equitable educational opportunities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Evaluate student performance and provide diagnostic assessments to identify learning disabilities or other special education needs.
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students as needed.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure that all students have access to appropriate educational resources and accommodations.
- Stay current on special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Special Education or a related field is required.
- Licensed as an Educational Diagnostician by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Familiarity with assessment tools and data analysis techniques.
