Senior Early Years Educator

Storal is seeking a Senior Early Years Educator in Higham Hill, East London to join the full-time team at Willow Tree nursery and guide the everyday growth of young children.

What This Role Involves

As a Senior Early Years Educator at Storal you will play a pivotal part in delivering outstanding care and learning for the children at our Higham Hill, East London setting. The post is full time, Monday to Friday, for 40 hours each week. Pay is offered up to £14.68 per hour according to qualification and experience, with a performance-related bonus, 50 percent childcare discount, wellness day and further advantages forming part of the package. You will work within a supportive nursery environment dedicated to giving every child the best possible start.

Core Duties

• Plan and lead purposeful play and learning sessions that follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
• Observe, assess and record each child’s progress, adapting practice to individual needs
• Model excellent practice and provide day-to-day guidance for colleagues and apprentices
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating indoor and outdoor environment
• Build trusting relationships with parents and carers through regular, clear communication
• Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, health and wellbeing
• Contribute actively to nursery planning meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent as a minimum
• Proven experience working with children aged 0–5, ideally in a senior or lead capacity
• Sound knowledge of child development, the EYFS and current safeguarding requirements
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Warmth, patience and genuine enthusiasm for early childhood education
• Current paediatric first-aid certificate and DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain them
