Role Overview

The Doxa Church Ministry Residency is a hands-on development role designed for individuals preparing for vocational ministry. Placed through Reliant Mission and based in Tucson, Arizona, the residency centers on serving alongside church staff, deepening pastoral skills, and participating in the life of the congregation. This full-time opportunity focuses on real ministry work—not observation alone—so residents build confidence, character, and competence while contributing meaningfully to church mission and community care.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support weekly gatherings, services, and ministry events at the host church
• Assist pastoral and ministry leaders with planning, follow-up, and day-to-day operations
• Participate in discipleship, mentoring, and spiritual formation activities
• Engage congregants through hospitality, group facilitation, and pastoral care support
• Help coordinate or lead aspects of children’s, student, adult, or outreach ministries as assigned
• Practice foundational skills such as teaching, communication, prayer ministry, and team collaboration
• Reflect regularly with supervisors on growth goals, strengths, and areas for improvement
• Serve the broader Tucson, Arizona community through church-based outreach and local partnerships when scheduled
