ThermoFisher Scientific is seeking an accomplished quality leader to join its Greenville, Pitt County operations as Director, Quality (Contamination Control and Microbial Excellence) — a full-time, on-site role driving sterility assurance and microbiological standards across pharmaceutical manufacturing.
About the Role
As Director, Quality (Contamination Control and Microbial Excellence), you will set the strategic direction for contamination control and microbial integrity at our Greenville, Pitt County site. Working a standard Monday–Friday schedule in an office-based environment, you will help bring ThermoFisher Scientific's mission to life by ensuring products meet the highest standards of safety and reliability for customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the site's contamination control strategy, including aseptic processing safeguards and microbial monitoring programs.
- Champion a culture of microbial excellence, embedding best practices across quality and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Partner with cross-functional groups to investigate excursions, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop quality professionals, building capability in microbiology and sterility assurance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in quality, microbiology, or contamination control within a regulated manufacturing setting.
- Strong working knowledge of cGMP, aseptic processing, and environmental monitoring principles.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and translate quality strategy into measurable results.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
