Director – Portfolio Risk Management & Analytics

Travelers Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Director - Portfolio Risk Management & Analytics to lead enterprise risk strategy and advanced analytics from our office in Five Points, North Carolina. This full-time, on-site leadership role offers the chance to shape risk decisions at one of the most established property casualty insurers in the country.

About the Role

As Director - Portfolio Risk Management & Analytics, you will own the frameworks, models, and insights that guide how Travelers measures and manages portfolio-level risk. Based in Five Points, North Carolina, you will partner with leaders across the organization to translate complex data into sound, forward-looking decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct portfolio risk management programs, including the design and oversight of analytical models and risk frameworks.
• Build and interpret advanced analytics that inform underwriting, pricing, and capital decisions.
• Monitor exposure across the portfolio and recommend strategies to balance risk and return.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of analysts and risk professionals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business, actuarial, and executive stakeholders to align risk insights with company objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in risk management, analytics, or a closely related discipline, ideally within the property casualty insurance sector.
• Strong command of quantitative methods, risk modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to senior and non-technical audiences.
• Track record of managing teams and driving results in a collaborative environment.
