OuterBox is hiring a full-time Director, Paid Search based in the United States — a senior leadership opportunity for a seasoned SEM professional ready to define strategy and drive measurable growth at a leading digital marketing agency.
About the Role
As the Director of Paid Search at OuterBox, you will own the agency's paid search vision from the ground up — setting strategy, leading a talented team, and serving as a trusted advisor to digital health and e-commerce clients. This is a high-impact role that puts you at the center of OuterBox's SEM practice, working alongside senior leadership and cross-functional partners to deliver results that matter.
What You'll Do
- Lead all paid search and SEM initiatives agency-wide, establishing strategy, standards, and best practices
- Develop and execute Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising strategies tailored to client business goals across digital health and e-commerce verticals
- Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams — including SEO, creative, and analytics — to ensure cohesive, integrated digital marketing execution
- Serve as a primary strategic partner for clients, translating complex data into clear recommendations that drive traffic, conversions, and ROI
- Manage campaign performance end to end: bidding and budget strategy, audience targeting, ad copy direction, and landing page alignment
- Define KPIs, oversee reporting, and deliver executive-level presentations to internal and client stakeholders
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of paid search managers and specialists
- Monitor platform updates and emerging SEM trends to keep OuterBox's capabilities competitive and forward-looking
What We're Looking For
- Substantial experience leading paid search programs at a digital agency or large in-house marketing organization, with a demonstrable track record of ROI-positive results
- Expert-level command of Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising; familiarity with SA360 and third-party attribution tools is a plus
- Strong analytical acumen with experience using Google Analytics and similar platforms to inform strategy
- Background working with e-commerce and/or digital health clients preferred
- Proven ability to manage senior client relationships and communicate performance insights clearly and persuasively
- Hands-on experience developing and managing SEM teams
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline; Google Ads certification or equivalent credentials preferred
