Director of Talent Acquisition

Hello Innovation, a Detroit, Wayne County-based company redefining what's possible in the technology and innovation space, is hiring a full-time Director of Talent Acquisition to lead its people-growth strategy.

This is a senior leadership position for someone who sees recruiting not as a pipeline function, but as a competitive advantage.

What You'll Do

• Design and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned to Hello Innovation's growth goals in Detroit and beyond
• Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing in-house recruiting team
• Partner directly with senior leadership and department heads to anticipate hiring needs and build proactive talent pipelines
• Own the full recruiting lifecycle — sourcing, assessment, offer, and close — across technical and non-technical disciplines
• Champion a candidate experience that reflects Hello Innovation's culture and ambition at every touchpoint
• Build and strengthen the employer brand to position Hello Innovation as a top destination for Detroit-area and national talent
• Establish recruiting metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that drive accountability and continuous improvement
• Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion goals through intentional sourcing strategies and structured hiring practices
• Evaluate and manage relationships with external recruiting partners, staffing agencies, and talent platforms
• Ensure all hiring practices remain compliant with applicable employment laws and regulations

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, with at least 3 years in a people-management or leadership capacity
• Demonstrated success building and scaling recruiting functions inside fast-moving, innovation-driven organizations
• Strong command of modern sourcing techniques, ATS platforms, and data-driven recruiting practices
• Proven ability to influence and advise executive stakeholders on workforce planning and talent strategy
• Experience designing structured interview processes and competency-based assessment frameworks
• A track record of measurable results — reduced time-to-fill, improved quality of hire, stronger offer acceptance rates
• Deep commitment to building inclusive teams and equitable hiring processes
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to represent the company's vision compellingly to candidates
