About the Role
As a Bus Driver with San Benito CISD's Transportation Department, you will safely transport students to and from school, extracurricular events, and field trips along assigned routes. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United States, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the role is filled.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a school bus safely and responsibly while transporting students to and from campus and approved activities.
- Follow established routes, pickup points, and time schedules with consistency and reliability.
- Maintain order and a respectful, secure environment for all student passengers.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance concerns.
- Comply with all district policies as well as state and federal transportation safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Commitment to student safety and dependable, on-time service.
- Ability to obtain or hold the appropriate commercial driver license and any endorsements required for school bus operation.
- Clean, responsible driving record consistent with district and regulatory standards.
- Strong attention to detail, patience, and the ability to manage a busload of students calmly.
- Reliable attendance and the flexibility to support regular routes as well as special trips.
