Everglades University seeks a full-time Director of Student Services to lead career preparation initiatives and student life programs in our Highland Beach, Palm Beach County campus. This leadership role connects students with employment opportunities while fostering a vibrant campus community through coordinated student development activities.
About the Role
The Director of Student Services plays a central role in helping students and alumni advance their careers and succeed professionally. You'll design and deliver targeted career programming while overseeing student activities and supporting student government initiatives that strengthen our campus community.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate career workshops covering resume development, job search fundamentals, and interview preparation for students and recent graduates
- Connect students and alumni with employment opportunities through direct placement support and professional networking assistance
- Maintain and communicate current job and internship listings to the student community
- Develop employer partnerships to recruit and place students in part-time and full-time positions
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate student activities and campus events that build community and enhance student engagement
- Oversee the Student Government Association and advise other student organizations
- Support student success through referrals to counseling and academic resources
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in career services, student affairs, or related student development roles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships across diverse student populations
- Excellent organizational and project management capabilities to oversee multiple programs and initiatives
- Authentic commitment to student success, personal development, and career advancement
- Experience designing, coordinating, and executing programs and community engagement initiatives
