Natera is hiring a Director, Head of Product Management – AI-Enabled Precision Medicine (Therapeutics & Innovations) to lead product strategy for a platform that unites AI, diagnostics, and therapeutics. This is a full-time role based in the United States (nationwide) (nationwide).

About the Role

As Director, Head of Product Management at Natera, you will own product strategy and execution for an AI-enabled therapeutics platform sitting at the crossroads of science, engineering, clinical development, and commercial strategy. You will shape what we build and why it matters—guiding the full product lifecycle from early concept and validation through development, launch, and ongoing iteration. The position calls for an uncommon mix of scientific fluency, disciplined product thinking, and sharp commercial judgment, partnering daily with R&D, AI, medical, business development, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision and roadmap for AI tools spanning biomarkers, trial enablement, and co-development—powered by genomic language models, biomedical AI agents, analysis platforms, and forecasting algorithms.
• Pinpoint high-value applications across drug development, including trial design, patient selection, translational insight, and companion diagnostics.
• Drive the end-to-end lifecycle—concept, validation, build, launch, and iteration—while prioritizing across competing opportunities by impact, feasibility, and strategic fit.
• Gather insight from biopharma partners and clinicians, translating workflows and market trends into clear product requirements.
• Act as the central connection point across Product, R&D, Clinical, BD, and Marketing in a fast-moving, matrixed setting.
• Shape positioning, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market plans, and define analytical, clinical, and real-world evidence requirements aligned with regulatory pathways.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product function grounded in ownership, speed, and scientific rigor.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MS, or equivalent) in life sciences, bioengineering, computational biology, or a related field preferred.
• 8–12+ years in product management or product strategy within biotech, life sciences, or healthcare technology.
• Demonstrated success building and launching complex, data-driven products.
• Solid grasp of drug development and/or clinical diagnostics workflows; experience with AI/ML products or data platforms strongly preferred.
• Proven cross-functional leadership in ambiguous environments, plus strong commercial acumen around product-market fit, pricing, and partnerships.
• Bonus: biomarker development, oncology, precision medicine, diagnostics–therapeutics integration, or early-stage growth experience.
