Samsara is seeking a Sr. Director, Field Activation to lead our Americas field enablement organization in this full-time remote role, available to candidates based in the United States. The Opportunity
As Sr. Director, Field Activation, you'll oversee the strategy and execution of enablement programs that directly power Samsara's sales organization. Reporting to our VP of Field Enablement, you'll own the connection between global enablement initiatives and the specific needs of our distributed field teams. Your role bridges strategy and execution—translating company-wide upskilling efforts into field-ready solutions while capturing frontline feedback to inform our global programs. Leading a high-performing team, you'll drive measurable adoption, build organizational capability, and embed Samsara's operational principles as we expand.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Americas Field Activation and Execution team, owning strategy development and program delivery aligned to business outcomes
- Drive adoption of global enablement programs across the sales organization, representing roughly 70% of your team's effort
- Design and deliver tailored enablement solutions addressing specific sales team needs, approximately 20% of team capacity
- Facilitate quarterly business reviews with sales leadership to assess program impact and identify emerging enablement gaps
- Collaborate with global enablement and leadership development teams to localize programs for field effectiveness
- Build, mentor, and develop your team of field enablement managers to create organizational depth and leadership pipeline
- Model and champion Samsara's operating principles throughout program design and team management
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 7 years as a quota-carrying Account Executive or frontline sales manager
- Demonstrated success leading a field-facing enablement team or sales operations organization
- Proven ability to drive program adoption across geographically dispersed sales teams
- Skilled stakeholder manager with experience aligning field requirements with global program teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with credibility among senior sales leadership
- Preferred: direct experience as a frontline sales manager; data-driven mindset for measuring program impact
