Senseye is seeking a Design Quality Engineer for Software Medical Device to join our growing team in Austin, Texas. This full-time position plays a critical role in ensuring our neurotechnology software meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
About the Role
You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge neurotechnology and rigorous quality assurance, supporting our mission to deliver objective mental health diagnostics. Your expertise will help guide our software medical device from design through regulatory approval and market deployment, ensuring every aspect meets stringent medical device standards.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute design verification and validation protocols for medical device software
- Establish quality standards, testing procedures, and acceptance criteria with engineering teams
- Create and maintain design specifications, test documentation, and traceability matrices
- Support FDA compliance activities and quality management system implementation
- Conduct design reviews, failure mode analysis, and risk assessments throughout development
- Identify, document, and drive resolution of quality issues and non-conformances
What We're Looking For
- Background in quality engineering, quality assurance, or related discipline
- Hands-on experience with medical device software development and regulatory pathways
- Proficiency in design verification, validation testing, and documentation practices
- Knowledge of quality management standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented approach with systematic problem-solving ability
