Akicita-cyber is seeking a Data Analyst / Health Informatics Specialist for this remote Full Time role supporting a nationwide Indian Health Service effort dedicated to stronger immunization coverage reports.
About the Role
As the Data Analyst / Health Informatics Specialist with Akicita-cyber you become the central analytical driver of the project and fill its most substantial contribution. This remote Full Time assignment entails roughly 900 hours across a 12-month base period that begins in August 2026, placing you at the heart of analysis for Indian Health Service immunization systems.
What You'll Do
- Guide rigorous technical review of five related Indian Health Service platforms: RPMS in its role as the electronic health record, the Clinical Reporting System referred to as CRS, the iCARE population-management application, the NIRS / National Vaccine Coverage dashboard, and GPRA performance measures
- Record the metrics captured by each platform, set out their information sources and underlying methods, note reporting cadence and outputs, surface known constraints, and deliver a complete systems analysis document
- Chart the full path of information flowing from individual patient records stored in RPMS, through CRS extraction steps, onward to national-level aggregation, while aligning divergent definitions of data elements across the platforms
- Identify accuracy gaps, inconsistencies among published reports, and misreadings that weaken trust in the resulting coverage statistics
- Recast specialized results into everyday language suited to user instructions, process diagrams, and training resources
- Help craft guidance on interpreting reports so users can understand the figures, recognize shortfalls in coverage, and track improvement over successive periods
What You Bring
- Demonstrated strength reviewing complex healthcare information systems and electronic records
- Skill documenting platform metrics, origins of data, methods, release schedules, produced outputs, and built-in limitations
- Ability to track complete information pathways through successive platforms and reconcile differing definitional standards
- Facility spotting quality shortfalls, report conflicts, and interpretive mistakes that reduce confidence in results
- Talent turning sophisticated findings into clear content usable for instructional materials, workflow visuals, and learning aids
- Aptitude for health-informatics work involving immunization tracking or similar public-health analytic challenges
