Counsel – Life Science Pharma

Fujifilm is seeking a Counsel - Life Science Pharma to join our legal team at our Five Points, Wake County office. In this full-time position, you will provide independent and collaborative legal guidance to FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation and its Life Science and Pharma divisions, protecting the company's interests while navigating the complex regulatory landscape of the life sciences industry.

About the Role

As Counsel - Life Science Pharma, you'll serve as a trusted legal advisor to our Life Science and Pharmaceutical business units. You'll manage a wide range of legal matters with direct accountability for minimizing organizational risk and advancing the company's strategic objectives. This role combines client-facing counsel with sophisticated problem-solving across regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, and litigation support—working both autonomously on assigned matters and as part of cross-functional legal teams.

What You'll Do

• Advise on regulatory compliance, product registration, and lifecycle matters specific to pharmaceutical and life sciences operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including distribution agreements, licensing arrangements, and supplier relationships
• Provide counsel on intellectual property protection, patent strategy, and trademark matters relevant to life sciences assets
• Manage legal risks and develop mitigation strategies for our Life Science and Pharma business units
• Support litigation and dispute resolution efforts, working with external counsel as needed
• Stay current on industry-specific legal developments and regulatory changes affecting our business
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including business leaders, compliance, and HR on legal matters

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar license in the United States
• Minimum 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or life sciences sectors
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, pharmaceutical compliance, and healthcare law
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts for business audiences
• Proven ability to manage multiple matters independently and work effectively in team settings
• Sound business judgment and strategic thinking capabilities
• Detail-oriented with strong legal research and analytical skills
