Role Overview
The Language Centre at Stellenbosch University (SU) is seeking a Coordinator for Interpreting to join the Division for Learning and Teaching Enhancement. This role will be based on the Stellenbosch Campus and is classified as Post Level 8.
What You'll Do
- Promote multilingualism within the university community
- Provide language-related support services to students, staff, and departments
- Coordinate interpreting services for various academic and administrative events
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance language learning and teaching
- Collaborate with other departments and external partners to ensure effective service delivery
Who We're Looking For
- Ambitious individual with a passion for multilingualism and education
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting or related field
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
