Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Examine supplier invoices for completeness, proper coding and authorisation before entry
• Perform three-way matching of invoices against purchase orders and goods receipts
• Prepare and release scheduled payment batches by electronic transfer and cheque
• Keep vendor master data current and resolve any outstanding statements or short-payments
• Investigate price, quantity or tax variances and chase supporting documents promptly
• Reconcile the accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger at month-end
• Produce aging reports and ad-hoc payables analyses for internal stakeholders
• Coordinate with purchasing, receiving and finance colleagues to clear open items efficiently
