The Opportunity

G Adventures is seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Tourism Development Specialist (CTDS) to join our team in Tanzania. This role will be pivotal in fostering sustainable tourism practices that directly benefit local communities, aligning with G Adventures' mission of changing lives through travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain strong relationships between Planeterra, its travel partners, and community stakeholders.
• Develop and implement strategies to establish successful community tourism enterprises that benefit from the tourism industry.
• Collaborate with local communities to create meaningful and sustainable tourism initiatives that uplift their livelihoods.
• Ensure all tourism activities are conducted in a responsible manner, respecting cultural heritage and environmental sustainability.

Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in community development or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of sustainable tourism practices and their application in the field.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• A passion for travel, cultural exchange, and community upliftment.
