Wagner Machine Inc. is hiring a skilled CNC HBM Machinist for our growing manufacturing operation in Norton, Kansas. This full-time, day-shift position offers competitive compensation ($21.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience) and the opportunity to work with precision CNC machinery, with overtime available as needed.
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced CNC HBM Machinist with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on expertise to operate and maintain specialized CNC machinery. In this role, you'll be integral to our production process, applying technical skills to large-part manufacturing while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
What You'll Do
- Operate CNC HBM machines to manufacture large-part components according to technical specifications and CAM programs
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and work instructions with precision
- Set up CNC equipment, install tooling, and configure machine parameters for optimal performance
- Monitor production runs and conduct quality inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose equipment issues
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment and follow all safety protocols
- Coordinate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of professional CNC machining experience, specifically with HBM or similar large-part equipment
- Strong proficiency in CNC operation, programming, and machine setup
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with precision measurement tools and quality assurance practices
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail
- Availability for full-time, day-shift work at our Norton location
