About the Role
As a Clinical Lab Assistant at our 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue location in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, you'll perform essential support functions in our laboratory environment. This is a part-time role with 16 hours per week, scheduled for 4:00 AM through 12:30 PM every Friday, every other weekend, and rotating holiday shifts. You'll work within a department experiencing significant expansion, joining a team dedicated to delivering quality patient care.
What You'll Do
- Collect and process laboratory specimens according to established protocols
- Prepare samples and materials for testing procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment safely and accurately
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of laboratory work
- Follow safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures
- Support laboratory staff in routine testing and analysis
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work early morning, weekend, and holiday hours reliably
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in laboratory work
- Willingness to learn laboratory procedures and follow protocols
