Class A Equipment Operator / HAZMAT Truck Driver – On Call Emergency Response

Clean Harbors is hiring a Class A Equipment Operator / HAZMAT Truck Driver for full-time, on-call emergency response work in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles County. If you hold a Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement and are ready to respond to time-sensitive industrial cleanup and remediation jobs, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

You'll operate a diverse fleet of heavy and light-duty vehicles and equipment at customer sites throughout the region, responding to urgent environmental spill cleanup, waste management, and hazardous material containment calls. This hands-on position combines both behind-the-wheel driving and ground-based operational duties, often in fast-paced, complex industrial environments.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate vacuum trucks, roll-off containers, transport vehicles, and specialized waste containment equipment
• Transport hazardous materials and industrial waste according to DOT and EPA regulations
• Respond to emergency and on-demand cleanup requests at customer facilities
• Perform equipment setup, operation, and breakdown at job sites
• Maintain accurate logs, manifests, and compliance documentation
• Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
• Follow all safety protocols and hazardous materials handling procedures

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background screening
• Knowledge of hazardous waste transportation and EPA/DOT regulations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with heavy equipment operation
• Ability to work flexible, on-call hours including nights and weekends
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and environmental compliance
