About the Role

As our Chemistry Lab Tech, you'll be responsible for testing, monitoring, and documenting the chemical composition of process solutions used in our plating operations. Your work ensures that our solutions remain within specification and that our manufacturing processes meet the highest quality standards. This role is essential to Master Finish Co's commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Conduct regular testing of plating process solutions and chemical baths to verify they meet required specifications
• Record and report variations from established standards, documenting findings accurately for quality records
• Recommend and advise on appropriate chemical additions needed to return out-of-spec solutions back to standard levels
• Maintain strict compliance with AIAG CQI-11 automotive quality standards and testing protocols
• Support implementation and adherence to our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
• Prepare samples and organize lab documentation to support continuous process improvement initiatives
• Communicate testing results and recommendations to production and management teams

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in chemistry or laboratory science preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of chemistry fundamentals and laboratory testing procedures
• Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain precise documentation
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all lab work
• Reliable attendance and willingness to follow safety procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production teams
