Join Recorded Future, the world's largest and most advanced intelligence company, as a Site Reliability Engineer based in Gothenburg, Sweden — where you'll safeguard the reliability and performance of platforms trusted by more than 1,900 clients globally.

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Site Reliability Engineer position in Gothenburg. You'll partner closely with engineering teams to design dependable infrastructure, drive automation, and champion a mindset of operational excellence. Success in this role draws on hands-on expertise across cloud platforms, observability tooling, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own platform performance, scalability, resiliency, security, compliance, cost efficiency, and adherence to SLAs, SLOs, RPOs, and RTOs — independently or alongside partner teams.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure on AWS.
  • Create and operate observability solutions using Grafana, the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and Prometheus to track system health.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration through Terraform and Chef.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis for outages and apply systemic fixes for both one-off and recurring problems.
  • Take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation, responding quickly to production incidents.
  • Anticipate and resolve performance bottlenecks while advancing continuous improvement through post-incident reviews and process refinement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or comparable role.
  • Deep, practical AWS experience, including a solid command of AWS networking concepts.
  • Advanced Linux skills spanning engineering fundamentals, networking, storage, and operating systems.
  • Expert troubleshooting ability and a demonstrated record of cutting system downtime.
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform and Chef, plus a clear preference for infrastructure-as-code over manual changes.
  • Experience managing observability suites such as Grafana and the ELK Stack.
  • Clear technical writing for incident reports, composure under pressure, and excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Kubernetes, message brokers (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch), OpenTelemetry, large distributed systems and microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
