Barr-Nunn Transportation is seeking a dedicated CDL-A Truck Driver for an Over‑the‑Road (OTR) position based in Middleburg, Florida. This is a full‑time role that offers competitive annual earnings between $85,000 and $95,000, a per‑mile rate of 65‑70 cents, and a transition bonus of up to $2,625 on your first paycheck.
About the Role
As an OTR CDL‑A driver, you will haul freight across the continental United States on long‑haul routes, operating modern tractor‑trailer equipment while adhering to all federal safety regulations.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a Class A tractor‑trailer on interstate and highway routes.
- Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with Hours‑of‑Service rules.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any route adjustments.
- Handle paperwork such as bills of lading, weight tickets, and customs documentation when required.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly and assist with basic troubleshooting.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- At least eight months of verified OTR experience within the past 24 months.
- No terminations or voluntary separations in the last 12 months.
- Ability to pass DOT physical examinations and drug screenings.
- Reliable, professional attitude with strong time‑management skills.
- Willingness to be away from home for extended periods as required by OTR schedules.
