CDL A Truck Driver

Dollar General Fleet is seeking a full-time Class A CDL Truck Driver to join its regional fleet operating out of the Healdton, Carter County area — a great opportunity for drivers who want consistent home time without sacrificing a meaningful route.

About the Role

As a Class A CDL Driver with Dollar General Fleet, you'll run dedicated regional routes that keep you connected to home every single week. Your mission: move freight from Dollar General distribution centers to retail store locations — including newly opened stores as the brand continues its nationwide expansion. Pets are welcome to ride along, making this an ideal fit for drivers who don't want to leave their four-legged companions behind.

What You'll Do

• Operate a tractor-trailer safely on designated regional routes between distribution centers and Dollar General store locations
• Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT standards
• Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and stay within Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or vehicle concerns
• Deliver freight to store sites efficiently and on schedule, supporting both established and newly opened locations
• Uphold Dollar General Fleet's safety standards on every run

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) — required
• Current DOT medical certificate
• Clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safe driving practices
• Ability to operate a tractor-trailer confidently across regional routes
• Reliability, professionalism, and strong time-management skills
• Comfort navigating to retail store delivery points in varied conditions
