About the Role

This is a full-time independent contractor position designed for experienced CDL A drivers who want to operate as business owners rather than employees. You'll handle specialized freight shipments across the country, maintaining the safety and reliability standards that keep CRST's fleet operating at industry-leading efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Transport specialty freight to destinations across the continental United States
• Manage your own schedule, selecting loads and routes that fit your operational needs
• Coordinate home time between loads according to your personal and business priorities
• Maintain your leased vehicle to company and DOT standards
• Communicate with dispatch and support teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery
• Handle all aspects of your independent contracting business, from fuel and maintenance to documentation

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
• Minimum 2+ years of professional truck driving experience
• Proven ability to operate independently and manage business decisions
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience or comfort with specialty freight hauling a plus
