About the Role
As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you'll operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles to supply fresh and frozen food products to restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, and hospitality businesses across the region. Your role is essential to keeping our customers' operations running smoothly, with each delivery representing Sysco's commitment to reliability and excellence.
What You'll Do
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and professionally within all federal and state regulations
- Execute assigned delivery routes, managing time and logistics to meet customer schedules
- Load, secure, and unload food products while maintaining product integrity and vehicle organization
- Verify delivery accuracy against orders and customer requirements before departing each stop
- Communicate professionally with customers and address any concerns or special requests
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain detailed delivery records and documentation as required
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial vehicle driver
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries per shift
- Physical capability to load, unload, and handle product movement
- Dependable, professional demeanor and customer service mindset
