About the Role
This is a 1099 contract position hauling dry van freight on over-the-road (OTR) lanes. As a CDL A Contract Driver with OVERLOG INC in Greenville, Pitt County, you'll run consistent miles while earning competitive per-mile rates on both empty and loaded miles. We're looking for professional drivers who plan to grow with us for the long haul — when you join our team, we want you to finish your career here.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a dry van trailer safely and reliably across OTR routes
- Maintain full compliance with DOT regulations and pass clean inspections
- Manage pickups, deliveries, and on-time freight movement
- Communicate consistently with dispatch to keep loads rolling
- Uphold safety standards and protect cargo throughout each trip
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- Eligibility to work as an independent 1099 contract driver
- Comfort with extended over-the-road runs
- Strong safety record and a focus on clean DOT inspections
Pay & Incentives
- Up to 65 CPM for solo drivers on empty and loaded miles
- Up to 75 CPM for team drivers on empty and loaded miles
- Bonuses for clean DOT inspections
- Layover pay when applicable
- Detention pay when applicable
