About the Role
This is a full-time, over-the-road position pulling dry van freight as an independent contract driver (1099). As a CDL A Contract Driver with OVERLOG INC, you'll run solo or team and earn competitive per-mile pay on both loaded and empty miles. Solo drivers can earn up to 65 CPM, while teams can earn up to 75 CPM. Additional pay opportunities, including clean DOT inspection bonuses, are available to reward safe, professional driving.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a dry van on OTR routes safely, on schedule, and in line with DOT regulations.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain a clean DOT inspection record.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch to keep loads moving and deliveries on time.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation as a 1099 contract driver.
- Run as a solo or team driver depending on availability and preference.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
- Verifiable over-the-road and dry van driving experience.
- Clean DOT inspection and safety history.
- Willingness to work as an independent contractor (1099).
- Reliability, strong communication, and a commitment to safe driving.
