HAULTX LOGISTICS INC is seeking experienced over-the-road truckers to join our team as a CDL A Contract Driver (1099), OTR, Dry Van based out of Desoto, Dallas. If you value steady freight, predictable miles, and the independence of solo contract driving, this opportunity is built for you.
About the Role
This is a solo, 1099 contract driving position hauling dry van freight on dedicated, line-haul lanes throughout the OTR network. You operate as an independent contractor, keeping the wheels turning on consistent routes while enjoying the flexibility that comes with running your own schedule out of the Desoto, Dallas region.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport dry van loads safely and on time across dedicated, line-haul routes as an over-the-road driver.
- Run solo OTR runs averaging roughly 3,000 miles each week.
- Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and safe-driving standards.
- Complete trips without driver load or unload responsibilities — freight is drop-and-hook friendly.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch to keep deliveries flowing smoothly.
Compensation & Home Time
- Average gross pay of approximately $1,900 per week.
- $2,000 sign-on bonus for qualified contract drivers.
- Plan on 7 to 14 days out per dispatch, with the option to stay on the road longer if you prefer.
- Earn 1.5 days of home time for every 7 days worked, plus at least one weekend at home each month.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL A) in good standing.
- Eligibility to operate as a 1099 independent contractor.
- Proven OTR experience and a commitment to safe, professional driving.
- Comfortable with extended time on the road and solo long-haul operation.
