This is a 1099 contract position for a solo CDL A driver running over-the-road (OTR) dry van freight out of Duncanville, Dallas. You'll handle dedicated and line haul loads with no driver load or unload required, keeping your focus on the road. Typical runs put you out for roughly 7 to 14 days, with the flexibility to extend your time out when you choose to.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a dry van trailer safely on long-haul OTR routes as an independent contract driver.
• Transport dedicated and line haul freight reliably and on schedule.
• Complete trips averaging around 3,000 miles per week.
• Conduct standard pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and home time.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL A) in good standing.
• Willingness to run OTR with extended time away from home (7 to 14 days out, longer if preferred).
• Comfort working as a 1099 independent contractor rather than a company employee.
• A safe driving record and professional, dependable approach to the job.

Home Time

• Earn 1.5 days of home time for every 7 days worked.
• Be home at least one weekend each month.
• Stay out longer voluntarily if you want to maximize your miles.
