About the Role

As a Cardiopulmonary Dietitian at Siouxland, you'll develop and implement evidence-based nutrition interventions for patients with cardiovascular and respiratory conditions. This role combines direct patient care, nutrition assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support recovery and long-term health management.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for cardiopulmonary patients and create individualized medical nutrition therapy plans
• Provide patient and family education on heart-healthy and lung-friendly diets, sodium restriction, fluid management, and lifestyle modifications
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutritional recommendations based on clinical response and laboratory values
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize integrated patient care
• Maintain detailed nutrition documentation and ensure compliance with medical record standards
• Support quality improvement initiatives focused on nutrition outcomes in cardiopulmonary populations

What We're Looking For

• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
• Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience in nutrition care
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for cardiac and/or pulmonary disease
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and adapt to a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Valid state licensure as required
