The Opportunity
FlySafair is seeking a Buyer to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of the procurement department, you will be responsible for purchasing aircraft components and business-related requirements both locally and internationally. This role involves expediting repairs and service exchange cycles of various parts, raising requests for quotes, comparing prices, availability, and delivery times, placing purchase orders with QA-approved vendors, and ensuring all expedited requests and delivery dates are adhered to.
Core Duties

- Expedite repairs and service exchange cycles of various parts.
- Raise requests for quotes and compare best price/s, availability, and delivery times.
- Place purchase orders with QA-approved vendors and follow up as necessary to confirm that all expedited requests and delivery dates are adhered to.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong procurement experience in the aviation industry or related field.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiating with vendors and internal teams.
- Familiarity with procurement software and processes.
- Experience with quality assurance (QA) procedures.
