Business Development Manager for Protected Crops at BASF to develop and execute sales initiatives for cucumber, tomato, and capsicum crops. Develop long-term relationships with ANZ customers and manage customer account plans for profitability and partnership.

Requirements

  • Well-rounded knowledge of vegetable seed business
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of sales experience; experience in marketing and/or project management is strongly preferred
  • Advanced consultative selling skills, including negotiation and sales closing
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to influence stakeholders across diverse backgrounds and functions
  • Strong agronomic knowledge with project management skills
  • Strong English communication skills are required
  • Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and strong organisational abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities effectively
  • Marketing and product management skills to position and price varieties effectively within the marketplace
  • Ability to collaborate with global colleagues on portfolio strategy and development
