A Snapshot
As a Building Services Manager, you will work closely with the rest of the Data Centre Operations team, making an impact in a number of ways:
- Responsibility for physical security operations on site, managing the 24x7x365 outsourced security personnel team.
- Contract management of all soft services, including cleaning, gardening and grounds maintenance.
- External space general maintenance including building envelope, Grounds and perimeter security, Common areas (Kitchen, Break rooms and Meeting rooms) and Customer and AirTrunk office and storage areas.
Please note this role will be predominantly based in our data centre in Hong Kong.
Your Day to Day
- Be customer-facing to ensure that customer security requirements are understood and delivered with a high degree of customer service.
- Responsible for the management of outsourced security team.
- Support the Operations Director in the management of physical security incidents at the property.
- Facilitate emergency responses procedures, resource coordination, root cause analysis and post-event remediation.
- Coordinate security clearance requirements for core facility staff.
- Handle all soft services at the facility, such as cleaning, waste, landscaping, pest control, hydraulics, handyman repairs, and any other front-of-house facilities; lifts, gates, roller shutters etc.
- Establish and maintain agreements for services listed above, including setting critical metrics that are in compliance with AirTrunk and industry standards.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure overall cleanliness, upkeep and curb appeal.
- Responsible for the coordination of the data centre’s loading dock.
- Responsible for customers’ requests regarding their office or storage areas.
- Ensure change management processes are rigorously adhered to as required and work with internal teams to ensure compliance.
- Assists in the delivery of various accreditation initiatives, including, but not limited to, ISMS, SOC2, PCI-DSS.
- Maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements including environmental, building, hydraulic, environmental health & safety.
- Responsible for coordination and management of AirTrunk onsite offices and meeting room facilities.
- Assist in the PO process to ensure adherence to financial control procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in facilities, security operations, or front-of-house.
- Successfully managed 3rd party service providers; setting and managing important metrics, negotiating contracts and pricing for services.
- OPEX budget management experience.
- Mentored or trained junior staff.
- Experience developing or implementing business processes.
- Familiar with working with Customer Portals, and at the user level on Security networks (ex accessing CCTV archive data).
- Familiar with local regulations and standards.
- General knowledge in general building and security system repair & maintenance and health and safety.
- Incredibly flexible and forward-thinking and motivated by change.
- You excel at communication; you can deliver effective presentations to your key team members and management.
