Join Lakeside Book in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County as a Bindery Material Handler 1 on our night shift team. This is a full-time position supporting our production operations during evening and overnight hours.
About the Role
We're hiring an experienced Material Handler to support our bindery operations at Lakeside Book's Crawfordsville facility. This role is crucial to keeping our production floor running smoothly during night shift hours (11pm-7am). You'll work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail and physical stamina are essential to success.
What You'll Do
- Receive, organize, and stage materials for bindery production lines
- Move and position heavy materials safely using equipment and proper techniques
- Monitor material inventory levels and coordinate with supervision on restocking needs
- Maintain a clean, organized work area following safety and production standards
- Support bindery operators by ensuring seamless material flow throughout shifts
- Follow all company safety protocols and report hazards immediately
What We're Looking For
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work on your feet for extended periods
- Reliability and willingness to work night shift (11pm-7am) hours
- Basic math and inventory tracking skills
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to injury prevention
- Previous material handling or warehouse experience is a plus
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $17.50/hour, with a 7% shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts
- Two weeks paid vacation annually
- $100 safety shoe reimbursement
