Role Overview
This travel nurse position places you in a labor and delivery setting where you'll provide direct patient care during one of life's most significant moments. Working 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts beginning September 27, 2026, you'll be part of a healthcare team dedicated to supporting expecting families. The role is structured as a full-time position, giving you stability and predictable scheduling during your 16-week assignment in Alaska.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled patient care to women in labor and postpartum recovery
- Monitor mother and baby vitals, fetal status, and labor progression
- Assist physicians and midwives during delivery and emergency situations
- Educate and reassure patients and their families throughout the labor process
- Maintain detailed, accurate medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies
