Associate Professor – Department of Endodontics

The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time Associate Professor position in the Department of Endodontics, based in Memphis. This role combines clinical leadership, student education, and departmental service within one of the Southeast's prominent dental schools.

About the Role

This non-tenure track appointment offers the opportunity to lead endodontic education and clinical practice. You'll guide dental students and residents through classroom instruction, laboratory work, and patient care experiences. The position centers on academic excellence, clinical skill development, and advancing endodontic education within the College of Dentistry.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver instruction in endodontic diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical techniques to predoctoral and postdoctoral students
  • Direct clinical supervision in the endodontics clinic and provide direct patient care
  • Develop endodontic curriculum and course materials aligned with best practices
  • Mentor students in professional growth, clinical competency, and evidence-based endodontology
  • Contribute to departmental goals, program development, and institutional initiatives
  • Support the College's commitment to dental education excellence and community oral health

What We're Looking For

  • Substantial clinical experience in endodontic diagnosis and treatment
  • Active dental license and board certification or board eligibility in endodontics
  • Track record of effective teaching or student mentoring in dental settings
