AMS Staffing is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense Litigation to join our legal team in Seattle, King County. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious attorney to develop insurance defense expertise while working on meaningful cases in a collaborative legal environment.
About the Role
As an Associate in our Insurance Defense practice, you will handle a diverse portfolio of insurance defense matters, supporting clients across a range of liability and coverage disputes. This position carries an expected annual billable-hour target of 1,800 hours. You will work closely with experienced counsel, managing cases from inception through resolution while building a strong track record in litigation practice.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft motions, briefs, and discovery responses on insurance defense matters
- Manage case timelines, discovery, and client communications effectively
- Participate in depositions and support trial preparation and court appearances
- Analyze case facts and liability issues, contributing to case strategy and settlement negotiations
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop insurance defense litigation expertise and strong client relationships
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (required for attorney licensing)
- Juris Doctor degree and active bar admission in Washington or eligible to obtain it
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical capabilities
- Professional communication and client service orientation
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet billable-hour obligations
- Interest in developing expertise in insurance defense litigation
