Assistant Videographer/Producer

Arizona State University is seeking an Assistant Videographer/Producer for our creative services team in Tempe, Arizona. This full-time position offers the opportunity to develop visual storytelling skills while supporting a world-class research institution.

What This Role Involves

As an Assistant Videographer/Producer, you'll play a key role in producing, filming, and editing video content that brings Arizona State University's mission and initiatives to life. Working within the creative services department, you'll collaborate with experienced professionals to capture and craft compelling visual narratives that communicate across digital and traditional platforms. Compensation ranges up to $56,000 annually, depending on your qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate professional video cameras and capture equipment to film interviews, events, and B-roll footage
• Edit and post-produce video content using industry-standard software and tools
• Assist in developing concepts, storyboards, and production timelines for video projects
• Coordinate with creative teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders throughout the production lifecycle
• Maintain and troubleshoot video equipment and technology
• Ensure video content meets quality and brand standards
• Support multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines

Who We're Looking For

• Associate's degree in film, video production, media arts, communications, or related field
• One year of hands-on videography, video production, or related creative experience
• Or equivalent combination of professional experience and practical training in video production
• Proficiency with video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
• Experience with video editing software and post-production workflows
• Strong visual communication and storytelling skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
