About the Role
As Assistant Maintenance Manager, you'll partner with our maintenance leadership team to keep our sprawling distribution center running smoothly. You'll manage day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinate repair crews, and drive the preventive maintenance program that keeps our equipment and systems operational.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff across multiple facility zones
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Inspect equipment, diagnose malfunctions, and oversee corrective repairs
- Process and prioritize maintenance work orders
- Track maintenance budgets and manage vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with facility safety standards and local regulations
- Document maintenance activities and generate performance reports
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead role experience
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Proven ability to manage teams and prioritize competing demands
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Relevant certifications (EPA, OSHA, or trade certifications a plus)
