About the Role

This role involves assisting Geologists and Geotechnical Engineers with operational duties, including the collection, preparation, testing, documentation, and management of core and grab samples. The position also supports the Geotechnical function through Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) activities related to highwall support.

Core Duties

• Oversee and manage daily operations in the core and sample handling areas
• Collect, prepare, test, document, and manage core and grab samples
• Support Geotechnical function with QA/QC activities for highwall support
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures and standards

Qualifications

• Relevant educational background in geology or a related field is preferred
• Familiarity with sample handling, testing, and documentation processes
• Basic understanding of Quality Assurance/Quality Control principles
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
