About the Role
ST Engineering Hackney is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to work in our manufacturing facility. You'll be responsible for building out the core structural and functional components that make our refrigerated trailers industry-leading. Whether working from technical schematics or supervisor guidance, you'll ensure every assembly meets our exacting standards before moving to the next production stage.
What You'll Do
- Build and integrate pre-fabricated sub-assemblies, including counterbalance systems, electrical wiring harnesses, insulation and covering layers, roofing sections, door frames, and storage shelving
- Follow both written technical instructions and verbal direction from supervisors to complete assemblies accurately
- Inspect finished work and components for defects, damage, or operational irregularities
- Report quality issues, material problems, and unsafe working conditions to your supervisor immediately
- Wear and properly use all required safety equipment and personal protective gear throughout your shift
- Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to facility safety and production protocols
What We're Looking For
- Experience assembling components in a manufacturing environment (or demonstrated mechanical aptitude)
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions carefully
- Attention to detail and quality-minded approach to assembly work
- Physical capability to perform assembly tasks and use hand and power tools safely
- Willingness to report issues and maintain open communication with supervisors
