Join Johns Hopkins Medicine in Hanover, Anne Arundel County, as an Application Coordinator III – Epic, a full-time position where you'll lead the configuration, deployment, and optimization of our Epic Electronic Health Record system to support clinical excellence and operational efficiency across our organization.
About the Role
As an experienced Epic Application Coordinator, you will own the design, build, and validation of Epic configurations that directly impact how clinicians deliver care and how our business operations run. You'll work at the intersection of technology and healthcare, translating clinical workflows and operational needs into robust system solutions. Your expertise will drive meaningful enhancements and system upgrades that strengthen our capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Configure and customize Epic modules to align with clinical and business workflow requirements
- Design solutions that integrate with existing systems and support clinical staff, administrative teams, and leadership
- Build, test, and validate configurations through comprehensive quality assurance processes
- Lead the planning and execution of Epic system upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives
- Serve as a technical liaison between clinical and business stakeholders and IT leadership
- Document configurations, standards, and processes to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and cross-functional teams
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience configuring and customizing Epic in a clinical or operational setting
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical operations, and business processes
- Ability to analyze requirements, design solutions, and validate that implementations work as intended
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong project management and problem-solving capabilities
- Collaborative approach to working across teams in a complex healthcare environment
