About the Role
As an Animal Care Associate, you'll provide essential support to the animal resources team within our client's medical device research facility. You'll work the first shift, starting at either 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM, with a standard 8-hour workday and 40 hours per week. This is a W2 contract role requiring US citizenship or a valid green card.
What You'll Do
- Maintain clean, safe, and properly stocked animal care environments
- Prepare food, water, and enrichment materials for animals in your care
- Monitor animal health and report any concerns to supervising staff
- Follow established protocols for animal handling and facility safety
- Document daily care activities and maintain accurate records
- Support the medical device company's animal resources operations
What We're Looking For
- Entry-level background in animal care, veterinary science, or related field (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to work early mornings and follow detailed procedures
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies
- Genuine care for animal welfare and commitment to safety standards
- US citizen or green card holder (required)
- Reliable transportation to our Grayson, Gwinnett County location
