Hexion is hiring an AI & Automation Product Owner to lead the strategy and execution of artificial intelligence and automation initiatives across the organization. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the US where you'll drive innovation that strengthens our ability to deliver breakthrough solutions across industries.
About the Role
As AI & Automation Product Owner, you'll own the vision and roadmap for AI-driven and automation products that power our operations and customer solutions. You'll translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value, guide cross-functional teams through product development cycles, and ensure our automation initiatives deliver measurable impact. This role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and execution—perfect for someone who thrives when bridging data science, engineering, and business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Define product strategy and vision for AI and automation capabilities that solve real business and customer problems
- Build and maintain the product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and market demand
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, operations, and business teams to scope requirements and drive execution
- Establish success metrics and KPIs; use data to validate assumptions and iterate on product direction
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities in AI and automation adoption
- Champion user discovery and customer feedback loops to ensure products address genuine pain points
- Lead go-to-market strategy, adoption planning, and stakeholder alignment for major releases
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of product management, technical program management, or related experience, ideally with AI, machine learning, or automation initiatives
- Strong understanding of AI and automation technologies, use cases, and limitations—technical depth without needing to code
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs and drive alignment across diverse teams
- Excellent communication skills; you can explain AI concepts to executives and developers alike
- Data-driven mindset: comfort defining metrics, analyzing results, and making decisions based on evidence
- Experience with agile and iterative development methodologies
- Genuine curiosity about how technology creates value and improves processes
