Peak Trust Company is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Big Lake, Matanuska-Susitna office. This is a full-time, in-office position within our Fiduciary department, designed for a detail-oriented professional ready to support the management and collection of client accounts.
About the Role
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Peak Trust Company, you'll play a key role in managing the trust company's billing and collection operations. Your work ensures accurate financial record-keeping, timely invoice processing, and strong client relationships through professional account management and communication.
What You'll Do
- Process invoices and manage billing records for trust accounts with accuracy and efficiency
- Reconcile account payments and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Monitor aging accounts and conduct collections activities as needed
- Maintain detailed account records and documentation to support audit compliance
- Respond to client inquiries and provide updates on account status
- Generate reports and summaries for internal stakeholders
- Assist with month-end and year-end account reconciliation and closing procedures
What We're Looking For
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel or similar spreadsheet tools
- Detail-oriented approach to data entry and financial record-keeping
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
- Experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or related financial roles preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information
