Evolv Technology is hiring an Accounting Manager to join our finance team in South Waltham, Middlesex County. This is a full-time role perfect for a CPA with significant Big 4 or public company accounting background who is ready to take on meaningful compliance and financial governance responsibilities.
About the Role
As Accounting Manager, you'll be instrumental in maintaining our organization's financial controls and ensuring regulatory compliance. You'll work closely with our accounting and finance professionals to strengthen our operational framework and support our external audit and SEC reporting obligations.
What You'll Do
- Oversee Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities and maintain required control documentation
- Design, establish, and monitor internal control environments to address financial risks
- Support SEC disclosure requirements and collaborate with our reporting team
- Manage audit coordination with external auditors and prepare for regulatory examinations
- Work with accounting and finance colleagues to refine processes and implement improvements
- Ensure accuracy in account reconciliations and period-end financial close
What We're Looking For
- Valid CPA license
- Proven track record with Big 4 accounting firms or public company finance functions
- Deep experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance frameworks
- Solid knowledge of SEC reporting and disclosure processes
- Strong technical accounting foundation and keen eye for accuracy
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
