What This Role Involves

The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Corporate Accounting at Fieracapital takes ownership of accurate, timely financial outputs that support decision-making across the organization in Multiple locations. Day-to-day work centers on end-to-end oversight of reporting cycles, corporate ledger integrity, and alignment with established accounting frameworks while mentoring team members who contribute to these processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages from data consolidation through final review and distribution
• Direct corporate accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and period-end close activities
• Ensure financial statements and disclosures fully comply with applicable accounting standards and internal control requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors, supply supporting documentation, and resolve inquiry during examination cycles
• Establish and refine accounting policies and procedures that promote consistency and efficiency
• Supervise and develop direct reports, setting clear priorities and providing constructive feedback
• Analyze variances and trends to deliver clear explanations of results to finance leadership
• Partner with other departments to integrate new business events into the accounting and reporting structure

Skills & Qualifications

• Extensive progressive experience in financial reporting and corporate accounting, ideally culminating in a senior manager capacity
• Deep working knowledge of financial reporting standards and strong technical accounting judgment
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex close calendars, and deliver under tight deadlines
• Proficiency with enterprise financial systems, Excel, and consolidation tools used in multi-entity environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Professional accounting credential such as CPA or equivalent widely recognized qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline; advanced degree considered an asset
• Proven capacity to evaluate internal controls, identify risks, and implement practical enhancements
