Role Overview

The Mental Health Support Worker is an integral part of our interdisciplinary team at Carewest. Our mission is to support clients in maintaining their quality of life as they navigate through their health care journey. This role involves providing targeted therapeutic programming under the supervision of allied health professionals, working closely with healthcare teams to enhance clients' ability to function within their psychosocial environment and promote overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned interventions that support client goals
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Psychology, and Recreation Therapy
• Participate in the formulation of care plans alongside clients and their support systems
• Support clients to improve mental health and overall well-being

Requirements

• Passionate about supporting others
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of mental health support principles
• Casual position, no specific FTE or shift times required
• Rate of Pay: $25.46 - $30.13 per hour
• No union affiliation for this role
