Jones Holdings Group is hiring experienced 1099 OTR team drivers based out of Rowlett, Dallas, Texas, to run Dry Van freight over the road and keep our long-haul lanes moving.
About the Role
This is a full-time, contract (1099) position for two-person driving teams operating on an over-the-road (OTR) basis from the Rowlett, Dallas area. Teams pull Dry Van freight and can expect gross earnings ranging from $3,400 to $5,000 per settlement. A sign-on bonus is paid out after your first 90 days, and additional mileage and stay-out incentives reward teams that keep rolling.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate as part of a two-driver OTR team hauling Dry Van loads over long-haul routes.
- Maintain consistent weekly mileage to maximize team earnings and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate driving and rest schedules with your co-driver to keep freight moving efficiently.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards while on the road.
Earnings & Incentives
- Gross settlement potential of $3,400–$5,000.
- Sign-on bonus issued after 90 days of service.
- Stay out through the fourth week of the month and add an extra $200 to that settlement on top of your earnings.
- Run more than 6,000 team miles to earn an additional $75; reach 7,000 miles to earn an additional $175.
Qualifications
- Willingness to work as a 1099 independent contractor in a team driving arrangement.
- Experience running OTR freight and comfort with extended time on the road.
- Ability to handle Dry Van equipment and meet team mileage expectations.
- Based in or able to operate out of the Rowlett, Dallas, Texas area.
